Dokuta Yogano (屋業 独太, Yamino Dokuta), occasionally referred to as Yakuza B, is a minor character in AI: THE SOMNIUM FILES.
He is a member of the Kumakura Family, having worked under Rohan Kumakura and now Moma Kumakura. Perhaps due to the way he looks, he is often mistaken for a low-ranking member even though he is toward the top. He typically does office work. He has recently fallen in love and lost a lot of weight.
Life as a Yakuza and Doctor
At some point in time, at earliest around 2000, Dokuta was a member of the Kumakura Family under Rohan Kumakura's rule. Over time, Dokuta rose to be one of the top executives of the family, despite mostly doing paperwork at the office. Around the early 2010s, Dokuta and Chinpei assisted in and/or witnessed Rohan in torturing Hayato Yagyu for the murder of X. During that torture, Dokuta witnessed Rohan forcing Yagyu to join the Kumakura Family as an assassin.
By at least 2001, Dokuta worked as the local mob doctor in the Minato District, managing his own underground clinic; it is unclear but highly likely that his early employment as a mob doctor coincided with his affiliation with the Kumakura Family.
Around October 26th, 2001, Dokuta (24) was approached by a pregnant Manaka Iwai, who was looking to have her baby delivered off-the-record to prevent a scandal with the father, So Sejima. By the end of the 26th, Dokuta successfully delivered a baby girl to Manaka. However, soon after, Manaka was killed by Saito Sejima, and her body was buried by Rohan Kumakura and two unidentified yakuza. Manaka's friend, Hitomi Sagan, approached him with Manaka's baby, and Dokuta falsified a birth certificate for the baby with the name "Iris Sagan," with her birth mother marked as Hitomi.
Twelve years later, on August 2013, Dokuta (36) encountered Hitomi yet again when she brought in an injured Hayato Yagyu to his underground clinic. Hitomi had found Yagyu bleeding out at the nearby Ikume Shrine from a gunshot wound and brought him over to attend to his wound. Dokuta patched Yagyu up, although any known interaction between the two, or what Dokuta's thoughts on the matter were, are unknown.
Several months later, around November, Rohan approached the Kumakura Family, and specifically Yagyu, to inform them that they would be targeting and assassinating Hitomi Sagan and the now-12 year-old Iris Sagan. However, a few days later, Rohan Kumakura (or rather, Hayato Yagyu as a parasite inside Rohan's body) declared to the Kumakura family that the kill order on the Sagan family had been revoked. And after a few more days, Rohan (this time Saito Sejima as a parasite inside Rohan) was arrested for attempted murder on the Sagan family and declared clinically insane. Dokuta's opinion and feelings with these developments, notably with his prior connection to the Sagan family, are also unknown.
Under Moma, and with Hanayo
With Rohan arrested and hospitalized, his younger brother, Moma Kumakura, became the new chairman of the Kumakura Family. Rohan's iron grip on the family was loosened and the Kumakuras, Dokuta included, began pursuing legitimate and less violence venues of business and success.
During the years that followed, Dokuta encountered young nurse in her twenties named Hanayo Nasu. The circumstances with their first meeting are unknown —most likely related to their mutual employment in the medical field—, but despite their age difference, the two became close and began dating each other. With a love in his life, Dokuta began self-improving and losing weight, gaining a skinny physical appearance. By 2019, the pair were engaged and set to marry in early 2020.
Shoko Nadami's Murder
In late October of 2019, the entire Kumakura Family was invited to the Ujisaki Family Yearly Golf Tournament held outside the Central Tokyo area. By November 2nd, the tournament was over and the Kumakura family headed back to their offices.
Cyclops Serial Killings
On November 3rd, So Sejima visited the Kumakura Office to speak with Moma, most likely regarding a case of blackmail incurred at him regarding Manaka Iwai's body. Soon after, So hid in a back room as Special Agent Kaname Date arrived at the Office himself. Dokuta and Chinpei attempted to force him out, but the pair was knocked down to the floor. When Date attempted to check the room in the back, Chinpei retaliated by shooting at him, and when that didn't work, Dokuta brought out a machine gun. With Aiba's help, Date managed to incapacitate the two of them completely, and discovered So hiding in the back.
Two days later, on November 5th, Date approached the Kumakuras once again, this time requiring assistance with identifying the New Cyclops Killer. Moma ordered Dokuta and Chinpei to recover the cigarette buds they threw in the trash. Date determined which bud was So's and swiftly left to examine it for DNA.
Disappearance of Renju Okiura
On November 3rd, Special Agent Kaname Date arrived at the Office to interrogate the Kumakuras. Dokuta and Chinpei attempted to force him out, but the pair was knocked down to the floor. When Date discovered that Moma was a fan of Tesa, Moma forced Dokuta and Chinpei to step out of the office while they talked in private.
For the rest of the day and the next, Moma sent out Dokuta, Chinpei, and the other Kumakura members to find information on Renju's whereabouts throughout the city. On November 5th, Moma forced them to leave the office again once Date informed him that he would bring Iris to the office.
A-set fan and marriage
By 2020, following the closure of the New Cyclops Serial Killings, Moma turned Dokuta and the other members of the Kumakura Family into A-set fans. They attended a live performance by A-set in January, and in February they welcomed a post-surgery Iris to their office. During their visit, Date and Iris learned of Dokuta's other profession as a mob doctor, and of his engagement to Hanayo Nasu, set to marry the following month. Later that day, Dokuta joined the others in a group dance together at the Harbor Warehouse District.

- The name Dokuta comes from the word "Doctor" written in kana. His family name 屋業 is "Yamino", and when combined with Dokuta it becomes "Yami no dokuta" which stands for "underground/illegal doctor," referencing his profession as a mob doctor.
- Dokuta and his fiancée, Hanayo Nasu, are the only two characters whose names were changed in localization (or rather, the way their kanji are read is changed in localization). In Dokuta's case, his family named was originally read and pronounced as "Yamino" in the Japanese version, which was changed to "Yogano" in the English localization.
- Dokuta's "Likes" list the term "dominatrixes," while his fiancé's, Hanayo Nasu, has "candles, ropes, and rodeos" for her "Likes." This heavily implies that the two of these have a BDSM relationship, with Hanayo as the dominant figure and Dokuta as the submissive figure.
- In the Alpha Timeline from the Lemniscate YouTube series, it stated that Dokuta and Hanayo were still not married by April 2020, but that they would be soon. One possibility for the delay in dates (outside of simply being on a different timeline), is due to the COVID-19 epidemic that broke out to the whole world by March of 2020, as the quarantine for the virus has been alluded to in within the Lemniscate series.
