History[]
Matsushita Diner was formerly managed by Takero Matsushita until his death in 2014, at which point it was subsequently managed by his wife Mayumi Matsushita. She would manage the diner until 2020, at which point her and Takero's son, Ota Matsushita, took over.
The diner was a popular attraction near Bloom Park until an explosion plant at the Kabasaki Chemical Plant nearby occurred, barring off the area and rendering it a danger zone. After the explosion, Matsushita Diner lost several of its customers and the business struggled to succeed, resulting in Takero and Mayumi needing to work other jobs to keep the restaurant afloat.
After Ota eventually took over, he would work hard to reinvigorate the restaurant's business, and Matsushita Diner revives into a popular attraction once more. It is a rival restaurant to Brahman World Cuisine, another popular restaurant located in Golden Yokocho, and the owner of Brahman, Gen Ishiyagane, has a competitive relationship with Ota.

Trivia[]
- The position where Matsushita Diner is located in the Tokyo map appears to be the real-world location of the Shinagawa District, more specifically the Higashioi District within it.
- According to Ota, Iris has commandeered one of the rooms in the residential portion of the Diner as one of her own. She has visited and stayed over at Ota's house various times using that particular room.[1]
